#bikeschool 5/5/11
Since I seem to keep missing the #bikeschool Twitter chat on Thursdays (either because I'm riding after work, or stuck running errands), I'm going to start doing a Thursday night post with the questions and my answers. Think of it as "distance learning" or "homework" I suppose.
***Q1: In honor of Cinco de Mayo, how would you combine bikes and tacos for the ultimate best day ever? #bikeschool
Taco Bell (i.e. fake tacos) is very close to my apartment, but it would make for a quick and easy #bikedate.
***Q2: It's National Bike Month in the USA, are you doing anything special to acknowledge it this year? ***** #bikeschool
I plan on cycling, commuting, and volunteering as close to daily as possible. Maybe a group ride, too?
***Q3: If you could be any other bike rider/cyclist for a day, who would it be, and why? ***** #bikeschool
I'd probably pick some crazy cyclist that has toured the country, or Europe, or something...for a day.
***Q4: Who has a cycling-related tattoo? Gold star to those who post a photo. ***** #bikeschool
No tattoos, but I have friends with the "pemanent chain grease" tattoos, and thought they were awesome. #bikeschool
***Q5: When you pass another cyclist on the road, do you nod, wave, shout? What do you do? *****
Wrote about that here, but now I call out, "On your left!", then thank them. Or, I smile and say hello.
Obviously, I'm missing the best part of #bikeschool, and that is the discussion with fellow cyclists. Hopefully, I'll work around my schedule to be able to participate more over the summer.
#bikeschool is a Twitter chat created by @bikerly, @lovingthebike, and @egggman that happens every Thursday from 8pm-9pm EST
